Listed torrents must have clear public project identity and redistribution rights.

Legal open source releases.
Privacy and security tools from legitimate upstream projects.
Cryptography projects and reproducible builds.
Legal mirrors with clear license or redistribution basis.
Lawful security research datasets with clear redistribution rights.

Forbidden content

Null Authority does not list material with unclear rights, unlawful purpose, or high abuse risk.

Piracy or copyrighted media without redistribution rights.
Cracks, malware samples, exploit packs, credential dumps, phishing material, or spam material.
Illegal datasets or datasets with unclear redistribution rights.
Trademark or copyright infringement.
Uploads or submissions with unclear licenses or unverifiable upstream origin.

Forbidden service behavior

The public service is for browsing approved catalog entries and downloading approved .torrent files.

No public uploads or unrestricted submissions.
No arbitrary file hosting or payload hosting.
No seedbox service, proxy, VPN, Tor exit, or anonymization service.
No ratio tracking, public accounts, comments, forums, or social features.

Hosted data

Null Authority does not host payload files. It hosts catalog metadata, .torrent files, signatures, public keys, and project links for approved entries.

Report abuse

Send abuse, legal, safety, or rights reports to null-authority@protonmail.com. Credible abuse reports are reviewed as soon as possible, aiming for within 72 hours.

Useful reports include the project URL or slug, the BitTorrent info hash if available, the reason for the report, and relevant legal or security context.

Do not send full announce URLs, peer IP lists, peer IDs, secrets, illegal material, or raw scrape data.
